Scorching weather sat and sun. Finished work on saturday afternoon and drove up, great drive i must admit. Clear roads, music blaring, windows down. Zoom zoom zoom..... a bit fast :D. So got up late afternoon, and went for a quick swim out to one of the rocks on the beach in hopeman. Great fun, pretty cold but very refreshing and whatnot. Back to beach for the bbq and drinking then at about 12ish headed off to lossiemouth to spend the night on the boat. Drew and Jaqueline have a boat, not a yacht (which are very nifty) but a gas guzzling powerboat with cabin, kitchen sink... etc. Super duper fun, interesting ways of conserving space mind you.
Next day (Sunday for those of you not keeping up.) we had a sun filled breakfast right next to the harbour before going for a walk along the beach, then heading out in the boat. They are both still learning how to handle it so it was.... interesting watching them argue at each other about port and starboard and oooh oooh left a bit, no no port! Out on the water we shot off and super speed and stopped about a mile off the coast and donned our fishing gear. Ok well no gear, but we got the rods out and i found a knife to use as a priest (a tool for killing fish) :) and we got to fishing. No sooner had dad dropped his line, he had one, just as he was reeling in he realised there were two. This was going to be easy. By the 20th ish fish we were hoping they would just jump on the deck to save us actually having to drop in the lines, but no joy. Whilst everyone else was fishing, i was busy clubbing fish, and fileting them on the spot, a skill i learned once from a strange west coaster called wye (sp).
So yes, after the fishing we swabbed the decks, and went for a swim! Chilly water, but extremely fun! Diving in off the top of the boat was also rather interesting, highest i think i have ever dived, and rather glad i didnt flop.
Erk blog is going on a bit. So yeah, back into the harbour after i had a wee shottie driving. More shouting as they took a few attempts to get it in close to the jetty bit. Funny for dad and myself though who were just waiting to jump off and rope up.
Finished there, picked up dads bike and headed down to aberdeen to see cat, had tea with here blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda. Came home, and thats it. There was more stuff that happened (yes, more! wow, etc i know.) but it would probably just be more stuff you wouldnt read :).
Anyway work tomorrow and things to do. Ta ta for now.
