Greetings From Australia

Ok everyone, i have arrived in australia so you can stop worrying. Didnt have as much time at the weekend as i imagined but me and shaun had a really good time. We went out with kirk on friday to Newport, then dropped him off at the redjet on saturday afternoon. We had a lazy day on saturday! First for... ever! Went to bed early, read a new book i bought from a crazy second hand bookshop. Then on Sunday we went out with the new pit group. Vicky from our old Jumpstart crew was there and we all had a realy good time! Shaun and i let it slip a few times (sarcasm) that we were off to australia on monday. But yeah we were just mainly talking about the dinghy instructor course and whatnot. It was super!

So, monday morning arrives. We managed to stay up until 1 on sunday night which was supposed to help with our adjustment to Oz time... we decided. Not an excuse to stay out late (1 is late for us now!!! :(). So we were both quite excited as you can probably imagine. Breakfast was good, as we watched the new pit group go off to their 1 hour morning gym session, then laughed at them when they came back for breakfast. Ho ho ho. So then up until 11:30, which was departure time from UKSA, we spent our last few hours playing pool and watching TV. UKSA is boring wihtout stuff to do :). Oh, also finished a few more job applications and my cv. So, UKSA minibus across to Southampon after finding Clinton who sounded like he was having the worst morning in his life after losing 700 quid somehow and getting a flat tyre, etc. In Southampton we picked up another 2 guys and got on our way to the airport. Hooray. Slept for an hour or so in the bus but nothing too heavy. And now, the Airport!

Arrived at quarter to 4 and met up with all the other folks at check in, everyone was so excited! Blah blah blah, usual airport stuff, checked in 13.5 kilograms (out of max 25 or so. Some people had 34 and still had to pay no extra, well at least not on the way out to oz... :) Cant really remember much of the airports but i will tell of more later and finish off this post properly. Kirk and Dan both want on. But do come back as i have more. I havent even left UK yet.

Hope you're all super!

Dingy Instructor

Well I am now a fully qualified dinghy instructor, along with multiple other less relevant qualifications. Powerboat level 2, Trainee Kayak Coach level 2, RYA First Aider, etc. I am glad the first part is over now, the last week was getting quite stressful. Now I am having the weekend off, before going to Australia on Monday to start the next 6 week training session. Only 2 other people decided to stay at UKSA over this weekend, but it should be quite a relaxing weekend (although I am getting bored already). I plan on leaving some stuff at Maddies house, which I will hopefully be able to pick up sometime next year... I hope no one has sent me any post recently as I wont be getting it now. I did get your parcel Auntie Sheila, it was very nice thank you :). The cat will be going everywhere with me.

Also someone searched through google for "Yarr Houston" and came upon my site. How strange.

Anyway, more later no doubt as I *will* be bored this weekend. :)
